About the role
Primrose School of Tampa Palms is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented cleaner and housekeeper to help keep our preschool clean, orderly, and welcoming. This part-time position may grow into full-time based on the center’s needs and the employee’s performance.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and other facility areas.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean floors; wipe surfaces and clean windows as needed.
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, toys, fixtures, and frequently touched surfaces according to center procedures.
- Clean restrooms and replenish soap, paper products, and other supplies.
- Empty trash and recycling, and collect and launder cleaning cloths or linens if needed.
- Keep cleaning supplies and equipment organized and stored safely, out of children’s reach.
- Follow product labels and the center’s health, safety, and cleaning procedures.
- Report maintenance needs, spills, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks on schedule and help maintain a tidy, welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred; training may be provided.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions and use cleaning products safely.
- Able to perform the physical duties of the role, including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting routine cleaning supplies.
- Willing to meet the center’s hiring and screening requirements.
